The hotel welcomed me into a cozy and clean room with a spacious layout, a small kitchen, and a private entrance. However, one of the rooms had a shared bath, and the check-in time was a bit late at 7 pm.

I felt like I was embraced by a warm hug in the room; it was clean, spacious, and had a small kitchen. The private entrance added to the sense of exclusivity. However, shared bath is not my preference.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room started cool but gradually became too warm during the night, even with the Arctic level of air conditioning. The size of the room was small, but the bed was large and very comfortable. The service was friendly, although there was an issue with late check-in. The location was fantastic, close to many city attractions. The dining experience was average with limited breakfast options. Overall, a decent stay with some drawbacks.

The room was cool for most of the night but got noticeably warmer throughout the night, despite the strong air conditioning. It was comfy but small for the price.

I had a mix of experiences at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped with a fully functioning kitchen, which was a plus. However, the service fell short when I encountered some misunderstandings with staff. The location was convenient and picturesque, but the dining options were just average.

The Stone Soup Inn is a charming place with quirky loft-style rooms and a lovely historic location near downtown. The service, though a bit rigid at times, can be exceptional, especially if you happen to meet D. Perkins. The breakfast offerings may not always hit the mark, but the character of the century-old house and the lush surroundings make up for it.

Rooms
8.0
My room at the Stone Soup Inn was cozy with a comfortable Queen sized bed and a spacious, well-lit bathroom. The funky loft area for sleeping added a unique touch to the overall ambiance.
Service
7.0
During my stay, I found the service to be a bit rigid with refund policies, but D. Perkins truly stood out by going above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Location
9.0
Choosing the Stone Soup Inn was a lucky decision due to its outstanding location in the historic Old Northside neighborhood, offering easy access to downtown and charming tree-shaded sidewalks for leisurely strolls.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast spread during my visit was a bit underwhelming with basic options like cold cereal and nutrition bars, but the effort by the innkeeper to provide fresh fruit and muffins was appreciated.
Facilities
The Stone Soup Inn, set in a century-old house, boasts great character and a cozy ambiance that adds to the overall charm of the place.

My stay at this hotel was like being in a zoo with the sheer drapes in the room, which were very large and comfortable, although the price seemed high for a Wednesday night.

Rooms

The rooms were very large and comfortable with sheer drapes, but the pricing on a Wednesday could be reconsidered.

Staying at this inn was a peaceful experience with nice views, although the shared bathroom arrangement was unexpected. The small connecting hall between rooms added a cozy touch to the space.

Rooms

The rooms before the Superbowl were peaceful and had nice views. Sharing a bathroom with another room was surprising at first, as I assumed the bathroom would be between the two rooms. The connection through a tiny hall made the setup feel unique and cozy.
Service
9.0
The service at this inn was wonderful and very friendly. D. Perkins, in particular, went above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The staff was helpful, making the overall experience excellent.
Location

The location of this inn was outstanding, close enough to downtown for convenience but away from city noise. The neighborhood was quiet and picturesque, with lovely tree-shaded sidewalks for pleasant walks. Being near downtown Indianapolis and Mass Ave offered easy access to the downtown area.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience felt like a family setting, with a well-rounded breakfast selection that included cereal, fruit, muffins, toast or bagel with cream cheese, butter or jelly, sliced cheese and cold cuts, hard-boiled eggs, milk, juice, and coffee. Even though it might not suit everyone's taste, it was delicious and satisfying.
